A Day in the Life

I have each class twice a week, and all classes are in two-hour blocks. Classes don’t run on a MWF/TR schedule like we are used to, and since I don’t understand the logic I won’t subject you to the timetable, but I am taking:

Introduction to the Old Testament
General Church History
Theology and the Practice of Mission in the 21st Century
Christian Worship I
Pastoral Care, Counselling, and Guidance
Greek I
Hebrew I (I thought we were to choose one of the last two for an elective, but it appears they are both compulsory).

Amongst that, we have chapel every morning (save Monday) at 7:45, Community Worship on Tuesdays and Thursdays at noon, Discipleship class Wednesday afternoon, Communion on Thursday evenings, international women’s student fellowship on Saturday afternoon, and Church Sunday morning and church/communion service on Sunday evening. Then meals (which include tea twice daily (though I generally don’t take it – I’m sure that will change as I adjust to the food), and I’m sure reading and sleep will happen at some point. At least I fervently hope so – I’m too old for this otherwise. And I have no breaks on Wednesdays, so you probably won’t hear from me then.

    Hi Kae!!

Sorry for the delay in replying – the network has not been friendly. 🙂 Not having a roommate allows me to have the only child time that I need, so God was really gracious with that. Things are going well, for which I’m thankful. Now the assignments and grades start…

Hi Jessica. It’s great to be able to talk to you through your blog and know how you are doing. Are you sorry to not have a roommate? Sounds like you’re getting along quite well. PTL! Yours in Jesus, Kae

Heidi – I think this is an opportunity to further hone my time management skills! Monday has several gaps, as should Friday, so that should be library time. Then there are the weekends…

    Hi Jessica,
Exciting! But I have much to say about texting, no internet and mosquitoes! Read between the lines! The Good News is still the Good News, and He works through it all!
We are praying for you…be at peace.
